Get to Know Me
In his free time, Dr. Abdulmalik enjoys hiking and exploring the beautiful landscapes up north, where he finds a sense of calm away from everyday demands. When he’s not outdoors, he cherishes quality time with his family. One of his most meaningful trips was his pilgrimage to Mecca, a journey where he reflected on his purpose and strengthened his connection with God. If he weren’t a physician, he could see himself as a teacher, as he enjoys breaking down intricate topics—just as he does when explaining heart conditions to his patients. He’s most proud of his parents’ perseverance through challenges to build a strong foundation for their family. Their faith and determination continue to inspire his approach to both life and patient care. Dr. Abdulmalik pursued a career in medicine because of how much he enjoys helping people and making a meaningful difference in their lives. He believes the most important part of patient care is ensuring his patients feel confident and comfortable, knowing their health is his top priority. “Patients should know we are always doing our best to ensure their health and well-being", he says. When asked what's one thing he wants his patients to know, he said “I am open to all forms of feedback (positive or negative) and I’m always available for my patients when they need me.”
Board Certification and Education
"My mom was seeing a different cardiologist for follow-up after a triple bypass. He never even listened to her carotid artery with a stethoscope or ordered a Doppler! She switched to Dr. Abdulmalik, who did both of those things and likely saved her life by urgently referring her to a surgeon for an endarterectomy. He also diagnosed her with A-fib when she had only a subtle complaint of occasional symptoms, likely saving her life a second time! He even shared his cell phone number with us, and we’ve sent him EKGs from her Apple Watch and texted him with questions. He typically calls back promptly and provides advice. We highly recommend him!"
